Tooth production moulds are used for a very long period, valid master models or 3D data are hardly available. When moulds get destroyed or worn over the time, valuable data are lost forever.
All existing moulds can be digitalized with our unique solution: We scan the production moulds or tooth models in 3D with high precision and deliver digital copies of the tooth geometries in an open 3D data format (STL).
Once digital 3D-data are available,
- Data are delivered on CD-ROM.
- Errors in geometries (undercuts, etc.) can be digitally repaired.
- Rapid Dental Moulds can be manufactured as a proof of concept of
the digital data. Rapid Dental Moulds are an inexpensive solution made of brass with 3 or 4 cavities each.

- Scanning is performed either at WESTCAM or at customers site.
- Data are delivered in the widely used and well known STL format which can be used by most systems for modern
CAD/CAM mould making.
